In the frame of the project “Zones and Roads” the distribution of the Study for the access infrastructure and signalization in the industrial zones of the South-East Planning Region has begun
The Centre for development of the South-East planning region in partnership with the Region of Central Macedonia, Greece is implementing the project “Industrial zones and commercial roads in the cross border area” – Zones and Roads, funded by IPA Cross-Border Programme between Greece and the Republic of Macedonia.
One of the main activities of the project is preparation of a Study for the access infrastructure and signalization in the industrial zones of the South-East Planning Region.
The Study has been developed in direct collaboration with municipalities, through analysis of existing documentation and plans for existing and planned areas, by analyzing the connection between the national, regional and local access road infrastructure and signalization to the industrial zones in the region.
Activities related to the preparation and design of the Study has been completed. The distribution of the Study to all municipalities in the South-East planning region has begun.
The first of the Municipalities in which the Study was distributed is the Municipality of Vasilevo. On October 17th, at the municipal offices, the Manager of the Centre for development of the South-East planning region, Zulieta Gjurkova and the Mayor of the Municipality of Vasilevo, Vanco Stojanov met and the Study was delivered and accepted.
The Study will be documented and will be used for the needs of municipalities and investors in order to improve conditions for investment in the industrial zones. Based on the information from the Study, an Investment guide will be prepared that will provide support of investments and attracting new domestic and foreign investors in the South-East Region.
In the following period the Centre will continue with the distribution of the Study in the other municipalities in the region.
